Larry Pearl brings to Access Mortgage Research several related skills that add significantly to the company’s ability to successfully complete large-scale research projects involving the banking industry. Before joining Access Mortgage Research, Larry Pearl spent nearly twenty-five years working in commercial banking, mortgage banking, consulting and academics.
After receiving his Ph.D. Larry spent eight years as a professor of Management Science and Economics. His work as a teacher and consultant lead him into the private sector where he served for five years as Director of Marketing Research and Marketing Information Systems for the mid-Atlantic region’s largest commercial bank.
Following his work in marketing research, Larry joined a multi-state bank and served as their Mortgage Corporation Comptroller and Director of Information Systems for the Consumer Real Estate Division. His groundbreaking work with mortgage origination systems in the late 1980′s enabled his company to be a leader in the use of computers to originate and process mortgage loans and significantly increased the corporation’s profits.
Larry was instrumental in electronically linking first mortgage originations with the sale of other home equity products. He also designed, programmed, and installed an automated download of credit bureau data into the bank’s mortgage origination system.
More recently, Larry has continued to combine his skills in marketing and economic research with his ability to manipulate and analyze large-scale databases for both private and government concerns. He directed the nationwide consumer research efforts for one of the country’s largest homebuilders and mortgage corporations. In the non-profit sector, he was Associate Director of a university based economic research institute. Larry brings these skills to Wholesale Access where he has managed the Mortgage Broker and Mortgage Lender Research Projects, which included nationwide surveying of more than 8,000 mortgage brokers and lenders.
