Tammy White is an independent consultant and has been affiliated with Access Mortgage Research for two years. Tammy has over twenty years of experience working for the finance and mortgage divisions of the residential construction industry. She has worked for some of America’s largest public and privately-owned home builders, and served as the Vice President of Finance for Shea Financial Services, a captive mortgage company for Shea Homes.
Throughout her career, Tammy has been instrumental in leading change and developing process improvements that result in greater efficiency and customer satisfaction. Tammy has been responsible for the development of accounting best practices; creating consistent departmental policies and procedures to align with business functional areas; and implementing technology solutions in order to provide real time reporting of key financial data. Tammy has served as team leader in the coordination and supervision of three software conversions while ensuring IT integration into the larger organization.
As Vice President of Finance, Tammy was responsible for preparing and consolidating all the financial reports for six geographically dispersed mortgage companies, including the generation of the annual business plan, monthly forecasts and benchmark studies. Tammy collaborated with branch mangers and re-evaluated operations throughout the mortgage division to make them more cost efficient while maintaining customer responsiveness.
Tammy now brings her broad financial and mortgage experience to the analysis of on-going benchmark studies for Access Mortgage Research. In this role she is responsible for the project management of the Builder Benchmark study and assists Christine Clifford with the Lender Study. Her primary activities include database updates, competitive and market trend analysis, internal communication/communication with customers and formulate responses to inquiries on market trends.
Tammy has been an active member of the Building Industry Association; the California Homebuilder’s Council; Institute of Management Accounts; National Association of Female Executives and has served as a Board Member on the California Council for Quality and Service.
